Founded in 2018, the Paradisanté association was born of a simple observation: too much medical equipment, old or no longer useful, is thrown away without being recycled. The association aims to recondition and distribute this medical equipmentwhich can still benefit low-income earners in France and abroad.

The founding members want to combat the waste of medical equipment.

Our association in Nice is made up of health professionals, nurses, physiotherapists, energy specialists and students. Numerous supporters and volunteers also help out.

The association's volunteers come to you free of charge at the homes of individuals who wish to donate equipment they no longer need. Donations are diverse and varied, wheelchair, walking frame, bath seat, electric lounge chair, etc. At the end of care, we can also collect donations of technical dressings, infusion equipment and more.

The association ensures that it always collects equipment in good condition, and sterile dressings.

The association does not recycle medicines which must be deposited by the donor at the nearest pharmacy.

Our association is expanding rapidly. The association's storage warehouse has already collected and refurbished almost 600 kilos of equipment in just a few months.

We intervene at the request of social care services in Nice and in the Alpes-Maritimes to redistribute the equipment free of charge to disadvantaged beneficiaries.

Often indeed, of elderly people in difficulty do not have sufficient income to purchase the equipment they need to care for themselves and remain at home.. Thanks to the Paradisanté association, they can benefit from a new bath seat worth €100 or a new electric wheelchair worth €600, free of charge.

Requests for aid in France mainly concern theequipment not covered by social security or supplementary health insurance.

Services to help the elderly in the City of Nice call on us. The association is also active at local level for homeless people and people with no social security entitlement. Thanks to our actions, all the equipment we collect can be recycled.

A box of technical dressings to treat an ulcer can cost up to €100. crutches, wheelchairs, mattresses, diapers, undersheets - everything is redistributed to the great delight of the beneficiaries.

When there is still material to redistribute, we work in partnership with French associations that help needy populations abroad. For example, a container of medical equipment will soon be sent to Guinea, in collaboration with the Guinée-Ô association. https://www.guinee-o.org/

We also frequently make donations of equipment (on request) to people in very precarious situations abroad.

We would like to relay our communication campaigns:

- from donors of private and professional medical equipment.

- with beneficiaries so that they don't hesitate to ask for our help.

Our funding: currently only from generous private donors and membership fees, we welcome all kinds of financial support, both institutional and private.

We're looking to expand our solidarity recycling organization by developing collection points in France, and are already setting up in the Lot-et-Garonne region with the support of our local volunteers.

The development focus is now on the raising awareness among self-employed healthcare professionals, nurses and physiotherapists, new medical equipment stores and pharmacies.

Our goal? Sharing, to develop health!
